All orders and sales final as of 12/18/2018

Chatties, fans, our wonderful community here at Abby's Lane,

It is with bittersweet sadness that I am writing this post. Abby's Lane will be closing its e-commerce doors on December 30th of 2018. Due to several personal and professional obstacles, my hope and plans for a store move to a new location has changed direction into a final clearance sale.

For those who need a brief read, some important dates
11/30: Last date of extra daily point and code promotions
12/4: Last date rewards can be earned
12/15: Last date rewards can be redeemed
12/30: Last date orders can be placed

Orders will ship as quickly as we can fulfill them, please allow extra time due to volume. We cannot make exceptions to the above dates, so please have them noted.

After giving birth to my oldest in 2003, the "Abby" behind Abby's Lane, I decided to take a chance on a little hobby of mine, and began a journey full of hurdles and hills, but also with so many beautiful moments along the way. Milestones, memories, and the ever-changing dynamic of "Know When...."

Know when to hire a family member to help
Know when to hire a few more
Know when to expand into a new space
Know when to hire moms who can bring their children to work with them
Know when to step back when it became overwhelming
Know when to take a breath and see where this needs to grow
Know when to move back into a space with even more employees
Know when to expand employment to contractors who can work from home
And finally
Know when to see that your dream has hit obstacles you cannot overcome, and it is time to say goodbye.

Over 15 years, Abby's Lane gave employment to dozens of mothers who brought their children to work with them, all ages, every day. It gave money and goods to charities of all sizes, as well as visibility and awareness to some that were just starting out. It created domestic jobs with our exclusives, in an industry where textile production is struggling to stay alive. It invented new products, with design concepts and practical uses that have been embraced and sold by many vendors. It released products with artwork that brought awareness in ways juvenile products hadn't quite reached yet, and started vital dialogues about issues confronting young and growing families. It gave rise to an amazing community, while not mistake-free, but always trying to make connections and build bridges across social media. Real friends were made, real issues were discussed, real support was present and real changes occurred.

I would have never guessed that an online retail store could do what Abby's Lane has done, and I am humbled to have been a witness to all of it. Your stories have changed my life and my journey through and through, and I hope that you carry your resilience and compassion with you into your other spaces in this industry.

Our customer service is still active and open, and will remain so into early January, and my inbox open as long as needed. When we change our domains, I will offer a new email for anything of follow up. 
I would advise any receipts in your account be screenshot for your records, as I cannot guarantee how long we will keep our website active on the admin side. Your products purchased still carry the same warranties as they always did, Smart Bottoms and other brand exclusives will still be under warranty as well for their normal duration.
Regarding our community pages:
- Chatties will remain open through at least January. I will make a decision at that time if it is necessary to stay open.
- Fit Pals is going to remain open and be run by our beautiful Naomi, our lead admin. She very graciously has volunteered to keep that supportive wellness page open for the members there.
- Phil, Steph and All The Rest will also remain open, and run by myself, Susan and Rachael as volunteers. I am grateful for their continued service on their own time, we value those exchanges very much and I am beyond emotion that it will remain open.
- The Abby's Lane Book Club has a very special announcement coming next week. If you love exclusives, beautiful products, charitable awareness causes and of course, books, the changes coming are very exciting and I want all of our fans to be a part of the new chapter coming for it.

 Abby's Lane ships for free over $35 excluding car seats to all 50 US states and US military destinations and US Territories, including all APO and AP addresses. We do not ship to International destinations.

EFFECTIVE 12/18/16

We can no longer offer a 30 day trial on Tula Baby Carriers, all carriers purchased on or after this date must be returned in brand new condition for a refund or store credit.

EFFECTIVE 9/13/2016
We can no longer make any changes to orders once they are placed. This includes address changes, canceling one item, changing a name, etc...
In regards to canceling, we must be emailed within 5 minutes of placing the order if you wish to cancel. You can just reply to your order receipt, it will come right to us and give us all the info we need.
If you choose to email us at another address, we need your order number in the email please. Thank you! This will ensure a fast and accurate fulfillment of your orders :)

 

RETURNS/REFUNDS/EXCHANGES/PRICING

-Please e-mail me at AbbysLane@abbyslane.com prior to sending an item back for an exchange/refund for mailing and labeling instructions

-Any item may be returned for a store credit (which does not expire) within 30 days of purchase, if it has not been washed or worn. Customer will be responsible for all shipping costs to return/exchange item. We cannot provide an even exchange for items bought, we will process a store credit for you to repurchase the item. This is for safety purposes, in the event of a recall or the need for warranty service, your receipt needs to reflect the exact item you have.

-If you have a reason why you would not benefit from a store credit at Abby's Lane,  please email us at AbbysLane@abbyslane.com for pre-approval for a refund exception.

-All fabric is final sale, no refunds or returns

-If your item(s) are returned for a refund, we will deduct that items share of shipping costs to the customer from the refund due for the products. If the customer opts for a store credit, no deductions will be made. For example if you order a $15.00 diaper that costs Abby's Lane $1.86 to ship, and it is returned for a refund, the refund due would be $13.14. If the diaper is returned for store credit, store credit would be issued for $15.00. This is effective for orders placed starting on 3/20/13

-For baby registries, we will make exceptions to the 30 day policy. Please email us at AbbysLane@abbyslane.com for prior approval if your new item is beyond the 30 day mark.

-If an item has been washed or worn, a return cannot be guaranteed. I will do my best to ensure your satisfaction with the item, but it will be on a case-by-case basis. Unless the item is a "lemon", return or exchange cannot be guaranteed on a washed/worn item.

-If a product has been discontinued from our store, we will direct you to the manufacturer of that product for a replacement item under their warranty terms

-If for any reason a package is returned to me, either for failure to sign for an insured package, or incorrect address information that has been provided to me, the customer will be responsible for  re-shipment fees. If I mislabel the package, I will reship at no extra cost.

--Sale pricing is not retro-active, we will not honor promotional discounts or sales/clearance pricing to orders placed before the sale was instituted

-If purchasing several diapers that are a new brand to you, we advise washing and trying one to make sure it is right for your baby, if it doesn't work for your family the unwashed diapers may be returned.

-For any offer that includes a "free" diaper, inserts, or any other freebie offers with purchase, if any items are returned for exchange or refund, the free item must also be returned in new condition for credit to be given. For example, if you purchased 5 bumgenius 4.0 diapers to receive one free for $86.90, you must bring back 2 of the diapers to receive a refund or store credit for $17.38.

-Free shipping is offered on US orders.

-Please consider insurance for your packages, you may purchase it at checkout

 Privacy Policy:

Any information presented on an order form (address, phone number, payment info, even what you ordered) is strictly confidential. I will not share any of this information with anyone, it will only serve my purpose to fill your order quickly :)

We do reserve the right to decline a purchase through our store.
